Quality: Very Good

Christopher Columbus set out on the journey that would make him famous, and take him to the New World. He and his crew were the first Europeans to see the astounding variety of wildlife in the part of the world we now call the Americas. Here, taken from his ship's logs, is an account of the creatures that fascinated and amazed Columbus and his crew, from flocks of riotously colored parrots to ten-inch-long lizards fit for a feast. Brought to life in vivid detail, through nimble writing and lush illustrations, this is the story of Columbus's historic adventure and the animals he saw along the way.
